Touch of raw almond aroma, plush mouthfeel reminiscent of creamy marzipan, with nutty sweetness upfront and balanced, clean astringency.
–Adagio
Adagio’s Almond blend is a bit of a disappointment. The initial taste is quite bland – a dull nut flavor emanating from a stiff black tea. The longer the sip lingers in one’s mouth, the quicker the aftertaste sets in – an almost medicinal bitterness that doesn’t quite mix well with the almond. Unenjoyable on its own, it might pair well with a sweet cake, but all in all, I wouldn’t recommend this blend – there are more impressive teas out there (with more convincing ingredients as well).
